Making your home as energy efficient as possible

At Energy Smart we are committed to trying to make our planet a greener and more pleasant place to live and one of the ways that we can help in achieving our aim is to ensure that we conserve as much energy in our homes as possible.

There are many ways that you can improve your home’s Energy Efficiency and before your Domestic Energy Assessor arrives to your property, why not just check if there is anything that you can do to help improve your rating.

For example, one way to substantially improve your home’s Energy Efficiency levels is by adding extract insulation, whether this be by cavity wall insulation or loft insulation (if the property has a loft or cavities).  You may find that local councils are supplying grants for certain people to help with the cost of installing the insulation and it might be worth you ringing the local council to find out this could apply to you.

Other ways are, of course, in fitting Energy saving light bulbs throughout the home wherever possible to all fixed light fittings and of course, the slightly more expensive option, which would be, to replace your existing boiler into an Ariated Condensing Combination boiler.

They are just a few ways in which an home owner could look at improving the homes efficiency.  Should you wish to discuss any of these measures or require any further information with your Domestic Energy Assessor, then please feel free to give us a call and we would be happy to deal with any questions or queries you may have.

In the meantime, think green and think efficient.
